Anderson Radio Club to Host ARRL Field Day 2025 at Mineral Spring Park
Williamston, SC – The Anderson Radio Club invites the public to experience the excitement of amateur radio at ARRL Field Day 2025, held at Mineral Spring Park in Williamston, SC, on June 28-29, 2025. This annual event, organized by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), is ham radio’s open house, showcasing the science, skill, and community of amateur radio.
From 1:00 PM EST on Saturday, June 28, to 3:59 PM EST on Sunday, June 29, club members will set up portable radio stations to connect with thousands of operators across North America. Embracing the 2025 theme “Radio Connects,” the event highlights how ham radio fosters communication, emergency preparedness, and technological innovation.
Visitors can explore a “Get On The Air” (GOTA) station to try radio under the guidance of licensed operators, learn about emergency communications, and see demonstrations of cutting-edge radio technology. The family-friendly event is free, open to all ages, and offers a unique blend of education, fun, and community spirit in the historic setting of Mineral Spring Park, one of the oldest public parks in the country.
“Field Day is our chance to show how ham radio brings people together, whether for fun, learning, or serving the community during emergencies,” said Wes Ballard, Vice President of the Anderson Radio Club. “We welcome everyone to join us, try out a radio, and discover this rewarding hobby.”
The Anderson Radio Club, serving Anderson County and beyond, promotes amateur radio through education, community service, and events like Field Day. To locate other Field Day sites, check www.arrl.org/field-day-locator.
