The Anderson Radio Club offers those looking to get their amateur radio license the opportunity to take the exam. We offer exams for all 3 license levels, starting with Technician, then General, and Amateur Extra.

Testing session are held on the third Saturday each month at 2:00 pm unless otherwise posted at the Anderson County Emergency Management Office, 200 Bleckley St. Anderson, SC on the second floor.

To take the exam you need to bring the following:

1. FRN (FCC Registration Number) . If you don’t have an FRN, go to the FCC Cores website and register.
2. If you are upgrading, bring a copy of your current amateur license .
3. Photo ID.
4. $15.00 Testing Fee.

We can also schedule special exam sessions if there is a need. If you represent a school, church or other group that would like to schedule a session at your location on a different day or time, please reach out to us. Also, if you have a mobility issue or need other accommodations, we may be able to schedule a private exam session for you as well.
