December 2025 Meeting

December Party and Monthly Meeting

Date: 12/13/2025
The meeting was called to order by President Rich Shalayda (K4NWX).
Announced that the War Wagon award will be presented at the January
meeting.

Rich thanked Wes for the great job done with the Winter Field Day and
other activities.
Officers for the 2026 ARC were sworn in by Rich 2026 ARC president.

Wes took charge of the meeting as the New President.
Minutes from the previous meeting were read by club secretary Elaine
Ellett and approved.

Tom Weir gave the Financial report. This was approved.

Marion McMillian, 2026 Vice President, announced that this coming year,
we will focus on education.

Anson, Repeater Trustee update: EOC will provide money for 220 to use as
backup, and Richard Donald will install. 7300 Backup bought by EOC has
space at Civic Center in a secured area upstairs for 3 backups for the 911
Center and spots for Auxcomm.
There are new computers coming, provided by a grant.
We have an antenna going to the EOC dedicated to Eco Link.
VHF Antenna will stay at the hospital for backup.
The Digipeter System Fusion machine will be online by January 30 th .

The Yaesu machine is online, but it will going by link by February. It is
currently in mix mode.

Russ, Net Manager, reports there were 360 Nets held this year and 7,254
check-ins, which averages out to 20 check-ins per net. There were 733
check-ins for July alone, with February having the lowest number
No Old Business.

New Business:
Wes has checked into the club, transferring to a 501(c)(3) status, which would
equal training, charity, education, and better define our club vision. The
pros and cons were discussed. Motion to move towards this classification
was made, seconded, and approved.
There was a motion to amend the By-laws of the club and to form a
committee to do so. This was seconded and approved. The committee will
consist of; Anson Hawkins, Rich Shalayda, Ethan Poole, Louis Manglass, and Marion
McMillian.

– Announcements/Reminders:
– December 20 th Testing at AOC.
– January planning for Winter Field Day at Mineral Springs Park will be held.
– In January, we begin to develop a vision for the club up to 2035.
– January 23rd, Rich to conduct a class on passing traffic
– In January, we will begin having a 15-20 minute training session in each meeting.
– Duncan is sick. If you have a moment, give him a call to check on him. He would greatly appreciate your call.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was carried with a second and approved.
