The meeting was called to order by Vic President KQ4WB Wes Ballard.

Introductions of all in attendance were made.

Minutes from the previous meeting were read by club secretary Elaine and approved.

Treasurer Tom Weir read the monthly financial report, which was approved. Discussion about the return on Club CDs. It was agreed that there has to be something better that can be done with these funds.

Elaine read the new club application for Mark W. McClure. Motion to accept and seconded. Approved.

Tom requested members to verify their information on Club roll. 

Old Business:

• The New Tower project on Sassafras update was given by Anson: they have 3 of the 4 signatures needed from government officials to move forward with the tower construction. The final signature needed is from the Environmental agency. Once finalized, construction of the 300 ft. tower will take approximately 2 weeks, along with an air-conditioned concrete block building and backup generator. 

• Trailers; there was a trailer clean-up about 2 weeks before the meeting. The radio trailer still needs to be reworked.
• The tower trailer was moved close to Wes to be worked on.
• The small trailer 1980 needs TLC, and we have an offer for $500. Anson put a motion to accept the offer, and there was a second. Motion was approved
• The Radio Trailer; the equipment needs to be pulled from the trailer to make GO boxes. Discussion: Walter has made an offer to purchase the trailer from the club for $2000, paying $100 a month. He plans to use it for dual duty, and it will be made available for club use once it is repaired. Also, there was a suggestion to allow Walter to take possession of the trailer. A motion was made to accept Walter’s offer and approved. Walter made his first payment on the trailer tonight.

Summer Field Day 2025

• Shelter #4 will be set up for GOTA and educational project.
• Educational activity is building a Morse Code Trainer.
• Main QSO Stations will be behind the Armory, and we also have access to the Maintenance Building.
• Wes will be at the park at 6 AM to start setup. Come and have a good time. Access through the maintenance gate.
• GOTA Stations will consist of 2 meter and 10 meter transmission starting at 2 PM on Saturday and ending at 2 PM Sunday.
• Set up to begin early Saturday at or before 6 AM to check for problems and to beat the heat.
• Safety Team will be set up.
• There will be $100 gift card to raffle off.
• Stressing for everyone to be well hydrated and bring snacks, be prepared for the heat.
• Parking for club members is available behind the Armory off Gosset Street.

New Business:

• 2020 Repeater offline lost all programming, so Richard has it to work on.
• Rich and Anson evicted the Black snake and little snakelings from Sassafras Repeater building as they disconnected the controller wire from the repeater.
• Repeaters and Antennas to be moved around after the new tower is erected.
• Sue is in ICU at AnMed. Remember her and Dunkin in our prayers and send a card to her.
• Next exam session to be held July 19 at 2 PM.

Had the ticket 50/50 draw.
