The meeting was called to order by Vice President KQ4WB Wes Ballard with the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag, Introductions were made
for all attendees.
Minutes from the previous meeting were read by club secretary KQ4AIA Elaine Ellett and approved.
A New club application was read for Anthony Sharp—a motion to accept a second. Approved dues were paid at the time of application.
Treasurer KK4CEW Tom Weir gave the monthly financial report, which was approved. Motion to transfer $500 to the repeater fund to replenish
funds used to upgrade wiring on Sassafras. There was a first, a second, and an approving vote.

Old Business:

  • The Trailer title was acquired and transferred to Walter who purchased the trailer from the club.

New Business:

  • A motion was presented to hold our annual Christmas Party on Saturday, December 13th to be held at Golden Corral from 6:00PM to 9:00 PM. Officers for the new year will be sworn in at this time. There was a first, a second, and an approval.
  • Club officer elections: there was a vote held with present members in person and online, 20 present, 4 online. At the November meeting, there will be an opportunity for those who were not present at the October meeting to vote. All votes will be tallied at this time, and officers for the 2026 year will be announced.
  • November club meeting is set for November 20th, the Thursday before our usual meeting time, because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • November 15th will be our next VE test session, starting at 2 PM.
  • November 22nd there will be a Swine Wave Exercise: How to use the ARRL Radiogram for 40 meters and 2 meters. You can join the group, or you can work from home. The exact location and time will be announced closer to the time.
  • February 28th, Dr. McMillan will hold a class on the use of WinLink.
    Details will be announced closer to the time.
  • The business meeting was adjourned.
  • A memorial service was held honoring W3SUE Sue Fuller. A time of remembering all the good things
    she brought to us individually and as a club. Sue will be sorely missed by all.
